Baird Employment Advocates (BEA) offer a broad range of services to both employers and employees, and was created to offer help to individuals and companies looking for pragmatic solutions that were at a more cost effective level than other similar companies could provide.
BEA offers help in dismissal matters and general HR advice that is more financially viable than other larger companies who operate with high overheads that ultimately they must pass onto their clients.
Principal Consultant and founder of Baird Employment Advocates Gavin Baird, has worked as a National Human Resources Manager and Industrial Relations consultant over a career spanning 30 years.
The idea to launch BEA came about when he realised that for many employers and employees, the cost of obtaining advice and representation in relation to unfair dismissal applications and matters being heard in the Fair Work Commission was cost prohibitive. In many cases, companies and individuals simply could not afford the expertise they needed to help them through and get the best results possible.
The result was that many ex-employees would miss out on benefits that may have been available to them through an unfair dismissal application going through Fair Work, and similarly, companies were paying more than what they needed to by not having good representation.
With a background in Employment Law (Curtain University Western Australia), Contract Law(University of South Australia) and Industrial and Organisational Psychology, along with a professional working history in the government, private and publicly listed business sectors, Gavin knows what business needs to have in place to be compliant and protected when it comes to employing people.
